Eros & Thanatos

Yesterday the postman
brought me Eros
& Thanatos in the guise
of Unprotected Texts
and Kali’s Blade.
(In the temple of Artemis
the twin brother of Sleep
carries a long sword.)
Creation & Destruction,
pleasure and mortality,
the dance of love & death,
the danger of the sharp quill
willing to take risks.
Desprotegido no significa desarmado.

And to think, in yesterday’s poem I linked eros and memoria, not thanatos … I love your “the twin brother of Sleep / carries a long sword”. Good stuff.

  2. Ernesto Priego Says:

Thank you, John. And yup, I love these coincidences…
